Since 2015, by now 20 biotoilets and 11 New Johka  have been set up and put into operation in public places in Ha Long and Van Don. After trials, the project is proving its effects in improving environmental quality, reducing pollution, creating extra money for locals from selling sawdust which will be used as fertilizers. Addressing the meeting, Mr Hau expected further supports from Japan’s companies to spread the technology in Quang Yen and Dong Trieu. Facing difficulty in changing the living habit of locals, however, Quang Ninh is determined to carry out the project to improve the environemntal quality.
