Historic vestiges discovered at Tran Dynasty Historic National Monument

QTV - Dong Trieu Town People’s Committee worked with University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi to hold a seminar to report results of archaeological excavation at Tran Dynasty Historic National Monument at Dong Trieu, in 2016.

The excavation was carried out at Tu Phuc Tomb, Phu Son Tomb or Tran Du Tong King’s Tomb, Ngai Son Tomb or Tran Hien Tong King’s Tomb, Hy Tomb and Ngoc Thanh Pagoda. After studying and discussing, scientists and representatives agreed that the relics are featured by architectural characteristics of Tran, Le and Nguyen Dynasties. The archaeologists also discovered vestiges like bricks, tiles, ceramic and porcelain dated back from Tran to Nguyen Dynasty. At the seminar, delegates discussed planning of relic protection area, preservation and restoration plans, as well.
