The project keeps on its schedule. Started construction in January 2017 with total investment of nearly 160 billion VND, the 235m river embankment and  the bridge pier have been finised. Under favorable weather conditions, the bridge piers between Vietnam and China is expected to connect to each other this month and has a trial open in October 2017. This is the first temporary buoyant bridge linking Mong Cai, Quang Ninh, Vietnam with Dong Hung City, China. Once operational, it will facilitate the circulation of import- export activities between the two countries.
