Cargo volumes at Vietnam's ports swell in the first 9 months

QTV - According to Vietnam Customs Administration, in the first 9 months of 2018, nearly 368 million tons of cargo were shipped through the country’s seaports, including 13,3 million TEUs of containers, an increase of 18% and 27% respectively, from the same period last year.

In Sept alone, nearly 42.9 million tons of cargo were handled at seaports, including 1.4 million TEUs of containers, up 18% and 30% respectively. The largest volumes of shipments were recorded at the ports in Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong with 51.98 -73.53 million tons. Other ports saw large increases in the volume of cargo, including Ha Ting up 97%, Quang Nam up 83.5% and Nghe An up 81%.
